On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Field Engineer and IT Support professional to join their team in Larnaca.


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-level on-site and remote technical support, ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of IT systems and infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting, system maintenance, installations, and technical upgrades, contributing directly to the company’s operational efficiency and service quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level on-site and remote support to end users (desktops, laptops, and peripherals)

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain customer and internal IT systems and infrastructure

  • Analyze system logs and use monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues

  • Support operating system updates, patching, and lifecycle management initiatives

  • Participate in hardware replacement and upgrade projects

  • Deploy and install IT systems and infrastructure components

  • Perform additional technical duties as assigned by management


Requirements

  • University or college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a similar role

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies (on-premises & cloud), including:

    • Windows Server (2012 or later)

    • Active Directory

    • Group Policy

    • DHCP

    • WSUS

    • Microsoft 365

  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies (ESXi, vCenter, ideally VDI)

  • Experience with Veeam backup and monitoring solutions

  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, VLANs) – CCNA-level understanding

  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications and VoIP (considered an advantage)

  • Knowledge of SAN storage technologies and/or security solutions (considered an advantage)

  • Relevant active certifications will be considered an advantage

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Team-oriented with high sense of responsibility

  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills

  • Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies
