Field Engineer and IT Support

Location: Larnaca, Cyprus

On behalf of our client, D.E. Lavoro Agency is seeking a Field Engineer and IT Support professional to join their team in Larnaca.

The successful candidate will provide first-level on-site and remote technical support, helping ensure the smooth and reliable operation of IT systems and infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting, system maintenance, installations, technical upgrades, and support for internal and customer IT environments.

This position is suitable for an IT professional with hands-on experience in Microsoft technologies, networking, virtualization, backup solutions, and technical support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level on-site and remote support to end users, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

• Manage, monitor, and maintain customer and internal IT systems and infrastructure.

• Analyse system logs and use monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Support operating system updates, patching, and lifecycle management initiatives.

• Participate in hardware replacement and upgrade projects.

• Deploy and install IT systems and infrastructure components.

• Perform additional technical duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• University or college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a similar role.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, on-premises and cloud.

• Experience with Windows Server 2012 or later.

• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, WSUS, and Microsoft 365.

• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies, including ESXi and vCenter; VDI experience is ideal.

• Experience with Veeam backup and monitoring solutions.

• Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, and VLANs, with CCNA-level understanding.

• Experience with Cisco Unified Communications and VoIP will be considered an advantage.

• Knowledge of SAN storage technologies and/or security solutions will be considered an advantage.

• Relevant active certifications will be considered an advantage.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Team-oriented approach with a high sense of responsibility.

• Self-motivated, with strong time management skills.

• Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies.
