On behalf of our client, a company operating in the marine and shipping industry and offering shipyard and ship repair services, D.E Lavoro Agency is seeking to hire an Assistant Electrician to join a dynamic technical team in Limassol.


The successful candidate will support electrical maintenance, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and safety-related tasks within a shipyard environment. This role is suitable for a responsible and technically minded professional with electrical, electronics, or automation engineering knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safe working practices in line with company procedures and legislative requirements.

  • Operate equipment and small hand tools to maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment.

  • Read and interpret design schematics for the proper installation of electrical systems.

  • Troubleshoot system failures and equipment malfunctions.

  • Repair, maintain, and modify electrical equipment and systems.

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Complete maintenance forms and service records.

  • Keep operating sites clean and tidy.

  • Stay updated on electrical codes, technologies, and relevant technical knowledge.

  • Use equipment, safety tools, and PPE according to training, company policies, and legal requirements.

  • Work in inclement or extreme weather conditions when required.

  • Monitor areas of responsibility and communicate potential issues.

  • Carry out any other reasonable duties defined by the role and management.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role will be considered an advantage.

  • Valid driving licence.

  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Flexibility with working hours, including possible work outside normal office hours.

  • Ability to travel overseas when operational requirements demand.

  • Proficiency in English and Greek.

  • Clean criminal record.


Benefits:

  • Good remuneration package provided.

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 with 1 hour lunch break, and Saturday 08:00–13:00 with no lunch break.

  • Work after office hours may be required.

  • 23 days annual leave per annum.

  • Medical insurance on commencement.

  • Provident fund after 6 months.

  • Free lunch.
