Email marketing specialist managing automated customer lifecycle campaigns

We are seeking an experienced Email Marketing & Lifecycle Specialist to lead the design and execution of multi-channel customer engagement strategies across email, SMS, and messaging platforms. The role focuses on acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, reactivation, and long-term client value.


This opportunity is suitable for candidates with proven lifecycle marketing experience, strong automation knowledge, and previous experience within online trading, brokerage, or proprietary trading environments.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a full lifecycle marketing strategy aligned with business objectives across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, and reactivation.

  • Define campaign goals, audience segmentation, and channel strategy across email, SMS, and messaging platforms.

  • Own the end-to-end communication calendar, including campaigns, seasonal activity, and product-related promotions.

  • Design and optimise automated customer journeys, including onboarding, behavioural triggers, abandoned actions, post-engagement flows, upselling, cross-selling, loyalty, and churn prevention.

  • Build advanced workflow logic, including triggers, conditions, segmentation rules, frequency controls, and suppression logic.

  • Create and manage dynamic audience segments based on behavioural, transactional, demographic, and engagement data.

  • Use AI-supported tools to improve campaign efficiency and performance while ensuring human oversight and quality control.

  • Manage full campaign execution, including briefing, content coordination, template development, QA, and testing across devices and platforms.

  • Run A/B and multivariate testing and translate results into actionable improvements.

  • Monitor performance metrics including engagement, conversion, revenue impact, deliverability, and list health.

  • Prepare regular performance reports with insights, recommendations, and optimisation actions.

  • Ensure strong deliverability practices, including list hygiene, consent management, and authentication standards such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

  • Maintain compliance with GDPR, ePrivacy, CAN-SPAM, and internal data protection policies.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in lifecycle marketing across email and SMS channels.

  • Strong understanding of marketing automation and customer journey design.

  • Experience building segmentation strategies using behavioural and transactional data.

  • Hands-on experience with CRM or ESP platforms such as HubSpot or equivalent systems.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for email editing and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with A/B testing and performance optimisation.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and translate insights into action.

  • Understanding of email deliverability principles and best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, minimum B2+ level.

  • Strong awareness of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements.

  • Previous experience in online trading, brokerage, or proprietary trading environments is required.

  • Background in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries is highly advantageous.

  • No strict academic requirements; practical experience and a proven track record are prioritised over formal qualifications.
