Our client, a well-established professional services and consulting firm in Cyprus, is seeking a VAT / Indirect Tax Supervisor for its Tax Department in Nicosia. The role oversees VAT compliance and advisory assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients and industries.

You will help clients navigate Cyprus and EU VAT requirements while guiding the team’s work and maintaining strong client relationships. The position offers a collaborative environment, flexible working hours and access to the company’s learning portal for professional development.



Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise VAT compliance and advisory assignments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.

  • Review VAT computations, returns and supporting documentation.

  • Advise clients on Cyprus and EU VAT legislation and compliance requirements.

  • Assist with VAT examinations, tax authority queries, reports and rulings.

  • Identify indirect tax risks and advise clients accordingly.

  • Coordinate assignments, monitor deadlines and support team members’ development.

  • Communicate with clients, the Cyprus Tax Department and internal stakeholders.

  • Stay current with changes in VAT legislation and regulations.


Position Requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or a relevant field.

  • Experience in VAT, indirect taxation, tax compliance or advisory services.

  • Good understanding of Cyprus and EU VAT legislation.

  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.

  • Excellent command of Greek and English.

  • Previous supervisory experience and a professional qualification such as ACCA are advantageous.
