On behalf of our client, a full member of a leading global international accounting and consulting group outside the Big4, D.E. Lavoro Agency is seeking a Semi-Senior Auditor to join their agile team in Limassol.


The successful candidate will support audit engagements of moderate complexity, assist with planning and completion sections, communicate effectively with clients and internal audit teams, and contribute to the accurate and timely delivery of audit work. This role is suitable for an ambitious audit professional who is ACA or ACCA qualified, or in the final stages of qualification, and wishes to grow within a global professional services environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate familiarity and basic understanding of audit planning and completion sections.

  • Conduct audits of moderate complexity and risk areas as directed by the team manager and in line with the planning stage.

  • Complete assigned audit work within the allocated time budget.

  • Understand the objectives and procedures of assigned tasks before beginning work.

  • Execute and document assigned tasks in an organised and timely manner with minimal errors.

  • Learn from mistakes and take steps to prevent recurrence.

  • Notify the Audit In-Charge of any issues that arise during the audit process.

  • Communicate with the client’s accounts personnel to resolve identified issues after consulting with the Audit In-Charge.

  • Inform the Audit In-Charge if the time budget for specific tasks is expected to be exceeded.

  • Keep a clear list of outstanding points and discussion points in assigned audit areas.

  • Follow up appropriately on outstanding matters and ensure assigned review points are addressed.

  • Coach less experienced team members effectively to avoid over-auditing or under-auditing.

  • Complete performance evaluation forms through self-assessment and discuss them with the reviewer.

  • Contribute to a positive working environment and support other team members when needed.

  • Assume the role of Audit In-Charge in straightforward audit engagements when required.


Requirements:

  • ACCA or ACA qualified, or in the final stages of obtaining the qualification.

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in an audit role.

  • Experience with a medium to large-sized audit firm will be considered an advantage.

  • Fluent Greek and English communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and ISA standards.

  • IT literate, including familiarity with CaseWare.

  • Professional and pleasant personality.

  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines when necessary.

  • Ambitious and eager to pursue a career as an auditor while continuously expanding knowledge and experience.
