Assistant Accountant

On behalf of our client, a comprehensive professional services provider, we are currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to join a professional team in Limassol.

 

Responsibilities:


·         Recording and processing journal entries to ensure accurate documentation of all business transactions.

·         Logging invoices, receipts, and payments, and conducting monthly bank reconciliations.

·         Compiling debtor and creditor reconciliations.

·         Maintaining the fixed asset register.

·         Ensuring accurate recognition of provisions.

·         Preparing quarterly VAT reconciliations and filing VAT returns.

·         Creating management accounts and cash flow statements.

·         Providing support and oversight to Junior Accountants.

·         Regularly reporting to Senior Manager on the status, progress, and completion of accounting tasks.


Requirements:


·         BA/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

·         LCCI Higher or an equivalent qualification.

·         At least 1-2 years of experience as an accountant, ideally with a medium-to-large-sized accounting firm.

·         Strong understanding of accounting principles and VAT regulations.

·         Familiarity with QuickBooks and CaseWare is a plus.

·         Microsoft Office proficiency.

·         Professional use of the Greek and English language (oral and written).

·         Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

·         Professional mindset, pleasant personality, and ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
