On behalf of our client, a Cyprus-based, CySEC-regulated investment firm, we are recruiting an experienced Head of Risk to join their team in Limassol. The company provides online trading and investment solutions, giving clients access to global financial markets, including stocks and ETFs, while maintaining a strong commitment to regulatory compliance, client protection, and responsible trading practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced risk management professional to lead the firm's risk function within a modern financial services environment. As Head of Risk, you will oversee the development and implementation of the company's risk management framework, ensuring compliance with CySEC and EU regulatory requirements while supporting the organisation's long-term growth and operational resilience. The role offers exposure to strategic decision-making, regulatory reporting, and enterprise-wide risk management within a technology-driven investment firm.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company's risk management framework, policies, and risk appetite.

  • Identify, assess, and monitor market, credit, operational, liquidity, and counterparty risks.

  • Oversee capital adequacy monitoring and prepare relevant risk assessments and reports.

  • Prepare and submit periodic risk reports to CySEC and the Board of Directors.

  • Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate potential risks and strengthen operational resilience.

  • Monitor updates from CySEC, ESMA, and other relevant EU regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure internal policies and procedures remain aligned with applicable regulatory requirements.


Position Requirements:

  • CySEC Advanced Certificate is required.

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.

  • At least 1 year of experience in risk management within a CySEC-regulated Investment Firm (CIF).

  • Good understanding of MiFID II, IFR/IFD, capital adequacy requirements, and operational risk frameworks.

  • Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and spoken.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.

  • Ability to present risk-related matters to senior management and the Board of Directors.

  • High level of integrity, sound judgement, and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to work full-time on-site in Limassol.
