Construction Site Manager – Civil Engineer

On behalf of our client, a growing company expanding its construction project portfolio in Limassol, we are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager – Civil Engineer to join its Technical Department. This on-site role focuses on supervising building projects across Limassol and ensuring construction works are delivered in line with approved drawings, engineering specifications, quality standards, budgets and project schedules.

Working closely with the Project Manager, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and service providers, the Construction Site Manager – Civil Engineer will play a central role throughout the project lifecycle, from structural works through to finishing. The position combines construction site supervision, technical coordination, project scheduling, cost control, material procurement and day-to-day management of multiple construction trades. This role is suited to a civil engineering professional with hands-on building construction experience who wants direct involvement in the delivery of new developments in Limassol. Job Responsibilities:

• Define project scope, construction phases, timelines and resource requirements.

• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.

• Review architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements.

• Ensure all construction works are executed strictly according to approved drawings, specifications and engineering instructions.

• Identify potential inconsistencies or technical issues in plans and coordinate solutions with consultants and engineers.

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities and monitor progress against project schedules and specifications.

• Coordinate subcontractors, engineers and service providers to ensure effective workflow and sequencing between different construction trades.

• Oversee each stage of the construction process and verify that works are completed correctly before progressing to the next phase.

• Manage relationships with subcontractors and monitor their performance, ensuring agreed quality standards, specifications and timelines are achieved.

• Identify potential construction risks and issues at an early stage and implement practical solutions to minimise delays.

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure high construction quality and compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with construction materials procurement and coordinate with suppliers to ensure materials are available when required.

• Maintain accurate site documentation, progress reports, material records and site instructions throughout the project lifecycle.

• Monitor project costs and contribute to effective budget and cost control.

• Identify opportunities to improve construction processes, increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve overall project delivery.

• Work closely with the Project Manager throughout all stages of the project to ensure successful and timely completion.

Position Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing or supervising building construction projects.

• Strong ability to read, understand and execute architectural and engineering drawings.

• Proven experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple construction trades.

• Experience with construction materials procurement and supplier negotiations.

• Strong knowledge of Cyprus construction regulations and industry practices.

• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.

• Proficiency with project management or construction planning tools.

• Fluent in Greek and English, both written and spoken.

• Proven experience delivering building projects in Cyprus is a strong advantage.

• Strong technical understanding of architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical plans is a strong advantage.

• Experience with construction procurement, supplier negotiations and cost control is a strong advantage.

• Strong knowledge of local subcontractor networks and construction practices is a strong advantage.

• Experience working closely with Project Managers, engineers, consultants and subcontractors is a strong advantage.

• Additional relevant technical or construction-related qualifications are considered an advantage.
