Tax Assistant Manager (Advisory)

On behalf of our client, an independent Consulting International Firm, we are currently looking to hire a Tax Assistant Manager to join a dynamic team in Nicosia/Limassol offices.
Responsibilities:
Advising international clients on tax efficient structures and direct tax issues
Assessing potential tax exposures/risks based on recent tax developments, and developing recommendations and implementation plans
Assisting on tax compliance projects (e.g. preparation of tax returns and tax computations)
Working in teams, delegate to and review work of junior staff and cooperate with senior level team members
Staying informed on all developments in the area of direct taxation and disseminating the information through presentations and seminars.
Communicating with the local Tax authorities on different client issues
Offering on-the-job training and direction to the less experienced team members
Uphold the strictest standards of client confidentiality and the greatest levels of professionalism.
Complete many customer projects while adhering to deadlines and budgets
Assist in staffing tax engagements, budgeting hours, and monitoring engagement outcomes.
Capable of participating in client meetings with the line manager and following the agenda created by the manager to suit client needs.
Be able to report Work in Progress whenever the line manager and his or her Director request it.
Cooperate with the Financial and Audit Department in completion of client needs in Tax Assignments
Perform other job-related duties as necessary
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of direct tax experience;
Tax Advisory and International Engagements would definitely be considered an advantage
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline from a renowned institution
ADIT certification will be viewed favorably.
Capability to create expert reports that respond to customer demands;
Superior writing, interpersonal, and presenting abilities;
Solid comprehension and familiarity with domestic and global direct tax issues
Capable of studying and comprehending Cyprus's direct tax legislation and applying them successfully to direct tax engagements
Proficient project management and coaching abilities
Dedication and a desire to learn
Staying current on foreign tax developments, taking into account any ramifications, and creating client suggestions
Computer literate
