Head of Compliance/AML

Our Client a well-established Investment firm based in Nicosia is seeking to recruit a dynamic individual for the position of the Head of Compliance/AML Function to joint their team


Responsibilities


· Work closely with the Senior Management in drafting the internal AML Compliance manuals, policies, and procedures and ensuring their correct and effective implementation

· Review new regulations and providing advice on necessary actions to be taken

· Providing advice, continuous education, and training to all staff and Board of Directors on AML/CFT risk awareness and effective KYC requirements

· Performing compliance reporting to ensuring that reporting obligations are fulfilled

· Reviewing general corporate contracts and agreements and company’s marketing/promotional material

· Monitoring and ensuring compliance of any appointed service / third party providers or outsourced functions

· Monitoring compliance of the company, departments, and all areas/topics within the company, with all regulatory obligations

· Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and providing advice on preventing or corrective actions to be taken

· Identifying, examining and reporting any suspicious activities related to money laundering and terrorist financing

· Assisting in conducting internal audits

· Examining, evaluating, monitoring and responding promptly to client complaints if any

· Main Point of contact for competent authorities.


Requirements/Qualifications


· University or postgraduate degree or other equivalent qualification in a field related to Law, economics or finance, including banking and finance, or accounting

· Holder of the CySEC Advanced Certificate

· Holder of the CySEC AML Certificate (would be considered as an advantage)

· Excellent English language skills and any other language of an EU member state will be considered as an advantage

· Minimum 1-2 years experience in similar positions, as well as strong knowledge of relevant regulations.

· Perform well under pressure

Remuneration package


· An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate

· Bonus based on performance

· Partially remote position for candidates not residents of Nicosia

· Travelling expenses for people who are not residing in Nicosia

· Working hours are office hours

· 21 days annual leave
