Chief Accountant

On behalf of our client, a service provider and Consulting Firm, we are currently looking to hire a Chief Accountant to join a dynamic team in the Nicosia offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and analyze monthly budgets

• Prepare annual financial statements

• Maintain records of financial activities by setting up accounts

• Acquires, reviews, and, if required, looks into client accounts payable invoices

• Create monthly reports showing cost and turnover variances from the budget

• Ensure that all monthly financial data is reported on time

• Complete payroll processing for the business

• Handle VAT and TAX issues

• Submission of income tax returns (IR1)

• Submission of employer’s return (IR7)

• Monitoring company expenses

• Review and approve payments and Journal entries

• Maintaining accounting methodology for the Group companies

• Supervision of accountants

• Responsible for monthly debtor collections and coordination with debt colleting assistants

Qualifications:

• University degree in Accounting and Finance/Economics or related field

• At least 5 years of experience is a must

• ACA/ACCA Qualification is an advantage

• Quick and accurate data entry is required

• Analytical and time management abilities are also required

• Accounting software knowledge is required

• Excellent communicator and team leader

• Very good organizational and behavioral skills

• Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written)
