Accounting Assistant

A Forex company based in Limassol is looking for an accounting assistant.


Duties:

- Maintain the General Ledger (posting invoices and payments, handle accruals and prepayments)

- Update fixed asset register

- Handle and reconcile related company transactions

- Perform Bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

- Perform reconciliations with suppliers’ statements and resolve discrepancies

- Assist in preparation of monthly management account

- Assist in budgeting process

- Assist in Payroll, VAT and VIES returns preparation

- Assist to CFO in the day-to day operations of the Finance Department


Requirements:

- Degree in Accounting or related field or LCCI/CAT qualification

- A minimum of 3 years solid experience as an accountant / bookkeeper is a must

- Very good communication skills in Greek and English languages both verbal and written

- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a team

- Excellent computer skills and ability to manage and meet strict deadlines

- Self-motivated, taking initiative, energetic and able to work under pressure
